![]() Hell, even if I want to make some scratch tracks while writing I don't hook up the Axe's USB at all and just arm my track/s using S/PDIF inputs and you're good to go.Even if you’re not a guitarist, using guitar effects and reamping is one of the easiest ways to get outboard gear into your workflow. Seems a bit complicated, but once everything's set and running it's a bliss (I have an AX8 too, and before getting the III, reamping was much more complicated as I had to use a reamp box. I use 2 cables for S/PDIF in and out so the Axe FX is always 'slave' for the Scarlett and avoid having to switch the clock from internal to external on the Focusrite Control app every time I want to use the III. One important thing is that I hook up the Axe FX to the Scarlett via S/PDIF so i'm monitoring with "ultra-low" latency as the Scarlett allows for hardware monitoring. Basically, I make an "Aggregate Device" so I can use both units at the same time, this way I do all my monitoring with the Scarlett and only select Axe FX's USB as my I/O when tracking/reamping. I'm a Mac/Logic Pro X user, so take this into account. I track AND reamp via USB while monitoring using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 Gen 3. This is the setup I've used for years and it's super flexible.įor the AxeFX specifically, I don't know what benefit a dedicated reamp box would give you, but if you have actual hardware amps you want to reamp with then it could be beneficial for sure. Then when you want to reamp, you change the SPDIF Out to be one of the DAW playback outputs, and set the DI track to that output. ![]() As an added bonus, you can record both the mono DI signal and a stereo AxeFX signal at the same time. Then you can just record both Input 2 and whatever input the SPDIF In from the AxeFX is (I think it's like 9-10 or something like that). The basic gist is you plug the guitar into the Pro 40 (I used the front panel Input 2), then you route that Input directly into the SPDIF output, which feeds into the AxeFX. It also lets you reamp in a pinch entirely in software, without having to mess with any cables. This is going to give you the most flexibility in terms of tracking both DI and AxeFX sounds, and you can use your Pro 40 as the primary interface and not lose any signal quality due to AD/DA conversion. I would suggest connecting the AxeFX to the Pro 40 with two RCA SPDIF cables. I'm currently using the Scarlett 18i20 3rd gen, but my previous interface was the Saffire Pro 40. Which brings me to my next question: Are you guys doing any reamping with the axe fx iii with a box like a radial x-amp or jcr, little labs redeye, etc? I think I'm leaning towards a dedicated reamp box any way since I have some amps I could utilize this method with, but I'd love to hear the pros and cons of each scenario and what you guys are using/doing. I kinda of don't want to have to unplug my monitors and swap this stuff back and forth, but I am assuming this is my only option if I want to reamp via usb with the axe fx iii, no? I'm using Pro Tools and I have a focusrite saffire pro 40 that I'm using for an interface and monitoring through. For you guys who are using it that way, how are you monitoring? Headphones? Speakers? Are you using it as an interface, or are there other options to achieve monitoring? I know this can be done via usb and using the axe fx iii as an interface. I had a question about reamping with the axe fx iii. Hey, everyone! I hope everyone is well and safe!

Jumping performance is underpinned by several morphological and physiological factors, most notably muscle strength and power capabilities (Ćopić, Dopsaj, Ivanović, Nešić, & Jarić, Citation2014 Harrison et al., Citation2013 Sattler et al., Citation2016 Tsiokanos, Kellis, Jamurtas, & Kellis, Citation2002), body composition (Ćopić et al., Citation2014 Nikolaidis et al., Citation2017), and technique (i.e. The squat jump (SJ) and the countermovement jump (CMJ) are frequently used tasks for assessing vertical jumping performance (Petrigna et al., Citation2019 Van Hooren & Zolotarjova, Citation2017). Vertical jumping is commonly used in strength and conditioning as an assessment or a training method (Petrigna et al., Citation2019) and jumping performance is of paramount importance in several sports (Kitamura et al., Citation2017 Petway, Freitas, Calleja-González, Leal, & Alcaraz, Citation2020). Further studies are needed to directly investigate the associations between CMJSJ Diff and indicators of athletic performance. While a larger CMJSJ Diff has been traditionally associated viewed as positive, our results could indicate both superior ability to utilize the stretch-shortening cycle, as well as poor ability of rapid force development and excessive muscle slack. Male athletes had a higher CMJSJ Diff than female athletes, but the difference was very small. For instance, SJ and CMJ heights were highest in short-distance runners and lowest in long-distance runners, while the largest and smallest CMJSJ Diff was shown in physical education students and speed skaters, respectively. The major finding of this study was that the groups that showed better SJ and CMJ performance did not show the larger CMJSJ Diff. In total, 712 athletes from various disciplines (mean age range: 15.7–36.3 years) and 58 physical education students (mean age: 19.6 years) participated in the study. The purpose of this study was to explore SJ and CMJ, as well as the CMJ to SJ difference (CMJSJ Diff) in 9 groups of young athletes. However, strong arguments have been made that this might not always be the case, as larger differences between the jumps could also suggest higher muscle-tendon slack, or poor capability to take this slack up quickly. Copyright © 2011 by the National Strength & Conditioning Association.Traditionally, a larger difference between countermovement (CMJ) and squat jump (SJ) was seen as beneficial, as it reflects the ability to utilize the stretch-shortening cycle. Therefore, the overall benefit of squatting to a parallel depth may provide peripheral benefits to the athlete, while not hindering the potential to improve in the vertical jump. The depth of the squat does not appear to be a critical factor in improving vertical jump performance in moderately active individuals. No significant differences were found between the three groups (p =. Improvements (in inches) for each group were as follows: DS = 2.1 ± 2.6 cm (mean and standard dev.), HS 2.54 ± 3.2 cm, PS 3.6 ± 2.0 cm. Pre-and post-testing values were compared using analysis of variance (ANOVA) with Tukey's HSD post-hoc analysis. DS (n = 6) subjects performed a squat exercise to 135-degrees of knee flexion, HS (n = 8) subjects performed a back-squat exercise to 90-degrees of knee flexion, and PS (n = 7) subjects performed a squat exercise to a depth where their thighs were parallel with the floor. Inter-set recovery was set at two minutes. ![]() All groups trained two days per week for six-weeks using a program incorporating 4 sets of 8 repetitions at 80%-1RM. Twenty-three recreationally active subjects were randomly assigned to one of three groups: a dip squat (DS) group, half squat (HS) group, or parallel squat (PS) group. ![]() Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate whether the depth of a back squat has a direct impact on vertical jump performance. However, when jumping, the athlete doesn't squat to parallel before takeoff, but rather “dips” in a shallow squat before takeoff. ![]() Traditionally, people emphasize performing a back squat to a depth where a person's thighs are parallel to the floor, but the deeper the squat, the more difficult it becomes to lift heavier weight. Jump height increases with a greater force exerted by the legs. In many athletic events, the ability to out-jump an opposing player is vital to success, and a staple to weight training programs for athletes is the back squat. Movement specificity is a critical training principle. ![]() Remove the foil and plastic wrap and cook for an additional 15 minutes. Some residents from the Wicklow Estates subdivision, which is near the proposed site, criticized the proposal and threatened to leave the village if a gun range is built in town. Other trustees, meanwhile, indicated they would need to do more research before taking a final vote on the proposal. “I just need to be honest and up front that there is a trustee who is going to ask you for a lot to make that happen.” “I’m not against a gun range in the community, but there are several folks on the other side and I need to consider their perspective,” he said. Sprawka did signal he is open to bringing a shooting range in the village but stressed he has to consider concerns raised by residents.
